Night time is the right time in the California squid fishery.  However, opinions vary about how much a full moon helps during the process.  In nature, a full moon would mimic what we do with the light boat.  Basically, lighting up the surface of the water.  So some fishermen think that it’s not a good time to catch squid.  Many a squid fishermen prefer the new moon.  Truthfully, I’m not sure any really understands the habits of these three hearted, blue blooded beasts.  We just get lucky enough to find them sometimes.  So, did it work last night?   Not for us…
