It would appear that this spring is going to be very different from the healthy squid run in Monterey Bay that happened last year. It is still a bit early to tell whether it is squid or not, but there are very few signs of squid to even attempt to work on yet. The majority of the biomass seems to be composed of salmon and tuna, not squid. The season is certainly one of the strangest I’ve ever experienced.
