So far, the spring of 2021 is shaping up to be a massive push of jumbo-sized squid just outside of Monterey. Catching squid in the daytime can be a little tricky, but these seasoned pros make it look easy. Many boats are scraping up one hell of a spring season. It’s easily the best spring run of squid in Monterey in over 7 years. Edit: I stand corrected. This is actually from fall in the Channel Islands. I’ve been going thru a tons of photos recently.
