This is a sweet idea for tourists that want a more authentic Alaskan experience. For years, I’ve called it “Dude Seining” and you would bring guests out to witness a purse seine operation. The best way for this to work would actually be directly in front of Juneau, where Dipac chums are harvested during the summer on a non-competitive level. That way it would be easy to deal with multiple groups of tourists per day and it wouldn’t affect your bottom line. Remember, you heard it here first!
