The “Lead Man” is responsible for stacking the bottom of the seine net. A typical net consists of a cork line on the top, web in the middle, and a heavy line filled with lead to help sink the bottom. The trickiest part of the job, are jellyfish. The “Lead Man”is continually under the net, which increases the encounters with jellies.
