Another nice looking vessel from Marvik. I wonder if they have a new aluminum seiner in the works?

From Youtube:

When it comes to building a top performing gillnetter, an ideal balance must be achieved between stability, capacity and speed. After much thought and engineering, Mavrik has found this ideal balance in their SP32 design. The result is a stable and fast vessel that packs tons of fish and still gets back to the line.

The commercial fishing vessel featured in this video is a sternpicker designed for the Bristol Bay Fishery for Johnny McMahan. His F/V Emory James has 2 Cummins QSL9 @ 405hp Engines with ZF305 Gears and Twin UltraJet 305HT.

At 32'x15' and a draft of 22″, it has a fishold capacity of 17,500 lbs, sleeps 4, and has a service speed around 35 knots.

I'm loving life in Alaska! Check out my viewpoint from Alaska, as I go commercial fishing and skiing thru the land of the midnight sun. This is Alaska commercial fishing shown the way it should be, from fishermen. When, I'm not working on the high seas, I enjoy time with my family in Juneau, AK enjoying life, love and salmon in southeast Alaska
