We crossed the F/V Odyssey just outside Kendrick Bay last season while seining for chum. The chum salmon harvest played a huge part in the 2012 season. The severe lack of pink salmon drove boats from all over southeast Alaska to hunt for hatchery chum salmon returning to Kendrick Bay.
