Iquique US, working with other members of the Alaska Seafood Cooperative, scientists and net manufacturers, has developed new Bering Sea flatfish trawl gear that almost totally eliminates bottom contact and bycatch of crab and other bottom dwelling species. This animation shows how the new gear works.
