A long time friend and southeast Alaska fishing legend has recently passed away. Jay Fisher dedicated his life to the sea and the pursuit of salmon. Jay was diagnosed with Spinal Meningitis. Sadly, it was his final battle in this world. Friends and family will gather together on Feb 22nd to celebrate Jay’s life and legacy on the ocean. The memorial service will be held at the Living Grace Church, 106 28th St. Tacoma, WA, 98402. Also, Jay’s final voyage on the sea will be this summer as his ashes are spread among the ocean on the F/V Kona Rose.
