Summer in Southeast Alaska is over. The big news this year is all about price. Even with our lackluster run, fisherman were pleased with 35 cents for pinks. In 2003, we caught over a million pounds at about 9 cents a pound. This year, we caught half as much and made way more money. It’s nice to see wild salmon getting the respect it deserves.
