PETERSBURG-AK 2010-08-27 The 61-foot salmon tender Emily Jane sank in shallow water at the north end of the Wrangell Narrows outside Petersburg early Friday morning.The vessel reportedly struck an ice berg, according to a US Coast Guard press release. The three people on board were rescued by a good-samaritan vessel.

On a quick stop through Petersburg, I recognized the Emily Jane at the Petersburg Shipwright. It appeared the damaged was mostly to the port bow area.
