This was the last opener of the season in 2008. As we tied up to the outside of the Island Pride, we could see the boat leaning at a 35 degree angle. It was truly one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. We pumped fish out for hours. Actually, tried to pump fish for hours. We couldn’t get the pumps deep enough, then we even ripped a hole in the net with one of the pumps. As any fisherman would know, things don’t always go smoothly.
