Nothing quite like a refreshing stay in Tenakee Springs. This Christmas I was lucky enough to enjoy the season with my family in this remote village of southeast Alaska. There is something truly magical about the place. I love how the community comes together in these tiny villages. It's a real eye opener to the true nature of the holiday giving spirit. While most of the world is entangled I the busy hussle and bustle of the holiday frenzy, in Tenakee time seems to stand still. My favorite present this season was a little box that said, “Let The Light Shine.” Inside the package was a lightbulb! Happy New Year!
