The Sitka Salmon Derby ended yesterday at 7:00 PM. Mike Vaugn is the first back to back winner in ages. According to locals, he caught the fish in the same area as last year. The winning prize is a 7000 dollar paycheck and the pride of knowing that you caught the “big one!” Kudos to everyone that participated in this years Salmon derby. Nearly 300 fish were submitted over the length of the contest!
