A lot of the searches on this site are about the fishing seasons and the price of fish. Here is a timetable of all the fisheries in Alaska. Its a bit harder to find the lastest ex vessel prices. I haven’t found a good source of current ex vessel prices. I would love some feedback on this.
2009 ex-vessel prices can be found on the Alaska Dept of Fish & Game website. 2010 preliminary prices are still a couple months away. This is to allow time for all the 2010 data to be entered and then to scrutinize/edit the data before publishing a summary of it. Final ex-vessel prices are out in late summer/fall. This is because the season-end adjustments (retros) are included in the final prices, and the processors are not required to report until mid April. Preliminary ex-vessel prices are sometimes found on the ADF&G website before June; final ex-vessel prices are found in late August. The Feds do publish IFQ halibut and sablefish ex-vessel prices; the 2010 prices for those 2 species are in the Federal Register for December 10, 2010.
